Sensory Light Table
A Sensory Room Light Table for the Autistic Support classroom at Martin Elementary School was awarded. Students are learning to regulate emotions, thoughts, and behaviors while working toward academic goals. The light table offers a multi-sensory experience that can be calming, engaging, and educational.
Hydroponics for Health
Students grew fruits and vegetables indoors while learning about the important role health and nutrition play in their overall well-being. The educator incorporated Pennsylvania STEELS standards into the project, integrating both science and mathematics to provide students with a hands-on, interdisciplinary learning experience.
Polygenic Traits
An elementary science class explored how polygenic traits are characteristics influenced by multiple genes rather than a single gene. The materials for this hands-on project were made possible through the foundation’s support and the educator’s creative approach to bringing this concept to life.
